CHALLENGE: PHOTOVOLTAICS WITH A CHALLENGING SUBSTRATE
The roof of the new showroom consists of sandwich panels - a technically delicate substrate that is particularly sensitive to changing suction and pressure forces caused by wind and snow.
Such load changes can lead to long-term damage to the roof cladding if the installation is unsuitable - such as leaks due to punctual overloading.
A mounting system was therefore required that would safely transfer wind and snow loads into the building structure without penetrating the upper shell and thus impairing the sandwich panels.

STRONG CONNECTOR BRACKETS - DIRECTLY INTO THE SUBSTRUCTURE
The solution: Our special sandwich drilling screw transfers tensile and compressive forces directly into the load-bearing building structure - regardless of whether it is a timber or steel substructure. At the same time, a separate thin sheet metal screw absorbs the shear forces that occur. This permanently relieves the roof surface and prevents long-term damage.

PARTNERSHIP AND TECHNOLOGY TOGETHER FOR THE ENERGY TRANSITION
The result is a 25 kWp photovoltaic system that is both technically and visually impressive across the board. Our COMPACTMETAL TR system ensures that the PV modules are securely and durably attached to the sandwich roof - with minimum installation effort and maximum system efficiency.
We are particularly pleased that this project not only produces another strong reference roof, but also further strengthens our partnership with 1KOMMA5°. The close coordination, smooth implementation and shared vision for sustainable energy solutions are proof of this: We can build on this foundation.
