The EDEKA logistics center in Gochsheim relies on renewable energy: a total of 5,800 solar modules with a total output of 2.5 MW were installed on three buildings - the fresh food warehouse, the high-bay warehouse and the deep-freeze warehouse. Two special mounting solutions from us were used: the COMPACTFLAT SN 2 PLUS on the flat roofs of the fresh produce and high-bay warehouse and the COMPACTMETAL TS08 on the trapezoidal sheet metal roof of the deep-freeze warehouse.
Particularly clever: the system supplies the electricity for the energy-intensive cooling of the food precisely when the sun is at its strongest. This is how EDEKA uses the power of the sun for sustainable logistics.
