Challenge: PV EXTENSION ON EXISTING STRUCTURE
PV extensions on existing systems place special demands on planning and statics.
In addition to load transfer to the existing building structure, interfaces to the existing structure, lightning current carrying capacity and a consistent safety concept had to be taken into account.
In addition, a solution was required that would enable safe installation and maintenance - without additional roof penetrations or interventions in the existing roof cladding.
SOLUTION: SN 2 Q PLUS - SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY WITH INTEGRATED SAFETY
The COMPACTFLAT SN 2 Q PLUS system was used, which was specially developed for technically demanding flat roof projects.
The clamping on the long side ensures even force transmission into the module and reduces point stresses. At the same time, the system meets the requirements for lightning current carrying capacity, making it ideal for existing industrial buildings.
A central element of the project is the integrated fall protection system from Innotech, which is integrated into the SN 2 rail and is mounted without penetrating the roof - directly on the substructure. As a result, the roof cladding remains intact, while safe working on the roof is guaranteed in the long term.

RESULT: MORE POWER THROUGH SMART EXPANSION
With the addition of 150 kWp, the existing PV system at WolfVision was expanded into a coherent, powerful overall system - efficiently and safely.
