EFFICIENT. INTUITIVE. cost-effective.

The fastest and most intuitive rail system on the market. Few steps, maximum efficiency: the pre-assembled components enable fast, safe and cost-effective installation - with minimum effort. Available as an east-west elevation in three variants.

The pre-assembled COMPACTFLAT SN FAST is based on the tried-and-tested COMPACTFLAT SN 2 system and has been specifically developed for particularly fast, tool-free installation.

With just three different rail elements per project, a click system without screws and complete delivery on EUR pallets, the system can be installed on flat roofs particularly efficiently and without errors. The SN FAST can be installed in an east/west orientation and offers module clamping on both the short and long sides, depending on the area of application. Two different row spacings are available for short-side clamping. Ideal for high module density or accessibility for maintenance work. Almost all accessory components of the SN 2 system, such as cable management, load distribution plates, anchor options and fall protection, are compatible. The SN FAST reduces assembly time, complexity and storage costs - without compromising on stability or flexibility.

  • Greatly reduced assembly time
  • Optimized for the most common module width of 1,134 mm
  • Plug & Play - simple click system
  • Few stock items, everything on Euro pallets - perfect for wholesalers

The system's three configuration options enable perfect customization for each individual project. In regions with low snow or wind loads, the short-sided clamping offers a cost-efficient solution. With the narrow ridge spacing, a high level of space utilization can be achieved. Clamping on the long side enables the maximum load-bearing capacity of the module to be transferred.

ballast angle profile

The ballast angle profiles also function as ballast beams. The stepless adjustability to module length makes pre-assembly of the system easy, even without modules.

Single anchor fixing

The optimized single anchor fixing now also allows subsequent anchor installation next to the standard base rail (depending on the anchor construction) and can also be used for the wide base rail.

Double anchor fixing

The new double anchor fixing enables flexible pre-assembly and precise positioning – regardless of the assembly. With three lengths and a stronger version, it covers all assembly variants and offers a cost-effective solution depending on the wind load.

Additional protection pads

To prevent damage to the roof membrane, additional protection pads can be placed under the ballast and the brackets. The protection pad consists of felt material and an adhesive strip for easy fastening.

Our ballast clamps can be used to attach fixed ballast elements, such as paving stones, directly to the rails.

The ballast angle profiles also act as ballast supports. Thanks to the infinitely variable adjustability to module length, pre-assembly of the system is child's play, even without modules.

THE FALL PROTECTION VIA RAIL SYSTEM - TAURUS HORIZONTAL INNOTECH
is ideal for fall protection in conjunction with photovoltaic systems on roofs with an inclination angle of up to 5°. A key benefit of the horizontal rail system is the flexibility in the positioning of anchorage points for rope access technology. When used as fall protection, the fastenings are spaced 3 meters apart. With appropriate additional measures, fixing distances of up to 5 meters can be achieved, which has a positive effect on the cost-effectiveness of the entire installation process.

FALL PROTECTION VIA CABLE SYSTEM - AIO CABLE SYSTEM TRAVERSABLE INNOTECH
is used wherever a horizontal surface needs to be secured at an angle of inclination of up to 10%. Complex structures and the subsoil pose no problems for the cable system. The modular system components ensure simple and error-free installation. The cable glider allows the intermediate cable brackets and curves to be driven over, eliminating the need for cumbersome rehanging or unhooking.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About COMPACTFLAT SN FAST

What is COMPACTFLAT SN FAST, the click-together rail system for flat roofs?

COMPACTFLAT SN FAST is our pre-assembled rail system for PV installations on flat roofs. It is based on the COMPACTFLAT SN 2 and is designed for east-west mounting with a 10-degree tilt angle. You need only three different rail elements per project; front feet, click-in base plates, and rail connector brackets are already installed, and many connections are snapped into place rather than screwed together. The modules are mounted in landscape orientation and are clamped to either the short or long side, depending on the variant. The system has been wind tunnel-tested and is CE-marked.

When is SN FAST a better choice than COMPACTFLAT SN 2?

Whenever installation time and material handling are the main cost drivers, SN 2 is the more flexible system—south and east-west orientations, multiple rail variants, and modules up to 2,500 × 1,310 millimeters. SN FAST forgoes part of this range and is designed for speed: east-west orientation at a 10-degree angle, optimized for the most common module width of 1,134 millimeters, three rail elements instead of many individual parts, and snap-fit connections instead of screw fasteners. For standard east-west installations with common modules, SN FAST is the faster choice; for custom formats, south-facing orientations, or unusual loads, SN 2 remains the right choice.

For which module orientation and mounting configuration is the COMPACTFLAT SN FAST designed?

For horizontally mounted PV modules with an east-west orientation and a 10-degree tilt angle. The geometry is optimized for the standard module width of 1,134 millimeters. Depending on the variant, the module is clamped on either the short or long side. Project loads, module dimensions, and permissible clamping ranges must be verified before making a selection.

What models are available for the COMPACTFLAT SN FAST?

There are three configurations: a short-side clamping system with a 144-millimeter ridge spacing, a short-side clamping system with a 230-millimeter ridge spacing, and a long-side clamping system with a 144-millimeter ridge spacing. The narrower row spacing maximizes space utilization. The wider spacing creates more room between the rows of modules, thereby improving accessibility for maintenance work.

When is it best to clamp the short sides, and when is it best to clamp the long sides?

This is determined by the load zone. In regions with low snow and wind loads, short-side clamping is the more economical solution; within this design, you can choose between a 144-millimeter ridge spacing for a dense layout and 230 millimeters for better accessibility. For higher loads, long-side clamping is used: it maximizes the module’s load-bearing capacity because the forces are transmitted along the long side of the frame. In both cases, the module manufacturer’s clamping approval remains decisive—we will work with you to align it with the load assumptions for your site.

How is COMPACTFLAT SN FAST secured to a flat roof?

Using fixed ballast blocks, anchors, or both. Ballast clamps, which secure paving stones directly to the rails, or ballast angle profiles—which also serve as ballast supports and can be adjusted continuously to the module length—are used for ballasting. For anchoring, there is the single-anchor fastening—which, depending on the anchor design, can also be retrofitted next to the standard rail—and the double-anchor fastening, available in three lengths plus a reinforced version. On roofs with limited load-bearing capacity, a load-distribution plate that snaps into place without tools distributes the forces. The type of securing required depends on the roof structure, load-bearing capacity, and site-specific loads.

Are accessories from the COMPACTFLAT SN 2 system compatible with SN FAST?

Yes, almost entirely. Cable management, load-distribution plates, anchor fasteners, and the fall protection system from the SN-2 system are compatible with SN FAST. For each specific project, we verify whether the respective component is compatible with the selected SN FAST variant and the roof structure.

What role do the click system and the EUR pallet play in everyday assembly work?

Both reduce the number of steps required, just in different ways. The front feet, click-in base plates, and rail connectors are already mounted on the roof, and the universal click-in clamp snaps into place instead of being screwed in—its integrated grounding pins establish the potential connection as soon as the clamp is secured, and it is height-adjustable between 30 and 46 millimeters. The EUR pallet proves its worth in storage and during transport: All system components come in standard sizes, with just a few part numbers instead of many individual parts. For wholesalers, this means fewer storage spaces per project; for the construction site, it means less sorting before the first task is even started.

What documentation do I need for the selection, bidding, and installation of COMPACTFLAT SN FAST?

Our leaflet is available for the preliminary selection, the intake form for project preparation, and the bid template for the request for proposals. For installation, there are two separate assembly instructions: one for clamping along the long side and one for clamping along the short side; the assembly instructions applicable to the selected variant take precedence. In addition, there are instructions for measuring the coefficient of friction. The leaflet and intake form are also available in English, and the leaflet is additionally available in Italian.
