YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and further develop the accounting team for our Austrian and German entities with a strong hands-on approach
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulations, and procedures in accordance with the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UGB
- Prepare and submit all required statutory reports on time (e.g. VAT returns, EC Sales Lists)
- Oversee and manage all matters related to taxation, financial reporting, and factoring
- Develop and implement accounting policies and processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Take responsibility for the proper execution of payment transactions across all group companies
- Work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders to achieve the company's financial objectives
- Perform group consolidation
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed certification as an Accountant and Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter or equivalent)
- At least 10 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally including 3–5 years in a leadership role or as a sole accountant with responsibility for financial statements
- Strong hands-on mentality and ability to work independently
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices under UGB
- Experience with accounting and financial reporting systems (e.g. SAP, BMD, Cognos Controller)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Analytical mindset with a structured, accurate, and detail-oriented way of working
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
